In collaboration with RTFKT studios, Nike released its RTFKT x Nike (NYSE:NKE -2.24%) AR Genesis Hoodie, which was first revealed in April. The hoodie contains near field communication chip and enables its owners to wear it both in real life as well as in the virtual world since people can forge physical products from virtual tokens. Owners can use QR codes to alter their hoodies, for example, by adding wings. On Thursday, July 21, the private mint for the hoodie is going to go live. Holders of Clone X and RTFKT x Nike Dunks Genesis CryptoKicks will initially have access to attain the limited product. The unreserved NFT mint is set to provide those who mint first. RTFKT has a plan of building utilities like token-gated access to in-person events. Recently, it allowed real-life attendees with a limited-edition Takashi Murakami NFT.
