Natura & Co., the Brazilian cosmetics group behind The Body Shop, Avon, Natura and Aesop, has dismissed speculations about selling off The Body Shop due to a non-profitable financial performance. The brand revealed that it is going to make many organisational and strategic changes to make the business profitable under the new CEO, Fabio Barbosa. The Brazilian brand acquired the famous skincare platform from L’Oréal in 2017. However, multiple factors, such as the pandemic, supply chain woes and inflation, slowed down the financial performance of the brand and speculation of a spin-off arose.
