Target, a famous retailer, has embraced robotics to offer quick and quality service to its customers in little time. The retailer is introducing a trained robot to paint fingernails and give a quick manicure to women. Target has collaborated with a San Francisco-based startup, Clockwork, to roll out these robots. The manicure service costs as little as $8 and takes less than 10 minutes, detailed Renuka Apte, cofounder at Clockwork. The robot looks like a microwave and has 3D cameras to click pictures of the nails and send them to its AI software. A nozzle then paints the clients’ nails with nail polish in a single even coat.
