Carolina Herrera launched a new collection inspired by nature at Monday’s New York Fashion Week show. It is based on The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. It consisted of maximalist hand-painted tea roses, peony gowns, mini-dresses with matching bucket hats, and denim jumpsuits. The team skilfully handcrafted an opening gown and a striped cotton blouse paired with a taffeta ball skirt. Five floral prints have been reimagined in different scales and colourways. Stella Maxwell and Karlie Kloss wore a mini yellow taxicab-coloured floral dress and a long-sleeved yellow peony trench gown, respectively. The stand-out dress was one worn by Kate Hudson, a body-hugging column dress with a large rosette sleeve.
