Nike, the famous footwear, apparel, and accessories brand, is expanding its digital business by collaborating with Zalando and JD Sports, digital marketplaces. The brand will connect its Nike membership plan to shoppers’ JD Sports or Zalando accounts to let them access member-only perks. These perks include prior notice of new product drops, exclusive items, and new online experiences. Jim Reynolds, Nike’s vice president of marketplace partners, believes that this model is going to be successful in Europe. JD Sports chief executive Régis Schultz also revealed that this partnership augments the offerings of these brands.
