German brand Puma launched the Conference of the People to discuss sustainability issues on September 6 in London. It would also be live streamed on PUMACOP.com where users can learn about the event and register themselves beforehand. The discussion is set to revolve around sustainable materials, climate change, protection of forests, and collaboration of industry. The focus would be on Gen Z to give them a voice for the future. Different people like peers, activists, NGOs, experts, ambassadors, and consumers will attend. One key figure among them is Cara Delevingne who is going to host the event along with Puma CEO Bjørn Gulden and CSO Anne-Laure Descours. Partnered with Puma, Delevingne has worked for several years on these kinds of projects, launching more sustainable collections such as Exhale. Recently, the company reported having reduced its carbon emissions, 88% from its operations and 12% from the supply chain. By 2025 it intends to make nine out of ten products with more sustainable materials.
