The retail division of Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries unveiled its first exclusive premium fashion and lifestyle store. The firm is continuing to expand its share of India’s luxury market. This new store, named Azorte, is expected to give competition to brands such as Zara and is targeting Gen Z and millennials. Akhilesh Prasad, chief executive officer of the fashion and lifestyle arm of Reliance Retail, says that Gen Z and millennials want the latest contemporary and international fashion. In nine months, the retail behemoth intends to open more than 40 stores across 12 cities.
