Sephora, the prominent French skincare and makeup retailer, is making a comeback to the luxurious market of the UK after 17 years. This time, the brand is launching a digital store and acquired FeelUnique, an e-beauty retailer, last year for $147 million. This acquisition made it possible for the beauty retailer to return to British shores. Chief executive and chair of Sephora, Chris de Lapuente, further revealed that Sephora will open its London flagship store in spring 2023. Sephora had exited the British market due to rocketing rents and costs and couldn’t compete with the growing competition.
