Springfield, a retail business located in Madrid, is introducing its first digital collection. Until December 18, the new “Metacollection” will be accessible only on the Roblox and Decentraland platforms. Items purchased on Roblox can only be used on that platform, whereas Decentraland clothing may be worn in other digital environments. Playoffnations, a Spanish business specialising in metaverse experiences, collaborated on the project.

Based on the brand’s current physical collection, this venture will allow people to purchase clothing for their digital avatars to wear. Springfield joins the list of Spanish brands that have debuted digital collections in the metaverse, including Mango, which debuted an NFT collection earlier this year in May, and Zara and Stradivarius, both owned by the Inditex group, which launched a capsule on the Zepeto app and a digital fashion line divided into different “drops” respectively.
