Style-centered tech startups help people make the most out of their wardrobe

Hasna Kourda’s Save Your Wardrobe is a technological app that helps users manage their clothes by making a digital representation of every item in their closet. It also connects customers to local businesses such as dry cleaners, donation centres for unwanted items, and repair and modification shops to help them extend the life of their clothing. It has over 100,000 downloads and has collaborated with premium clothing websites FarFetch and Zalando to launch a clothing care and repair project. Lin Kowalska is a Swedish entrepreneur and the creator of Popswap, a clothing exchange app. She believes that technological firms like hers may help to lessen the environmental impact of the fashion industry. Popswap is a social networking site where users can show off their clothing, connect with individuals who have similar fashion tastes, and swap clothes with them. ThredUp just started an advertising campaign to help consumers abandon fast fashion. According to Ms. Kan of Circular Earth, clothing tech companies like Save Your Wardrobe, Popswap, and ThredUp are playing an important role in decreasing pollution and waste in the fashion sector.
