The designers of colour bringing diversity to Milan Fashion Week

Milan Fashion Week is in full swing, with manufacturers hailing diversity and designers of colour. Diversity was recognised during the FASHION WEEK FRINGEA celebration, which honoured 12 designers of colour who live and work in Italy. Blanc Spaces, a new project by Blanc Magazine creator Teneshia Carr, intends to link creatives of colour and all genders with big fashion companies and shops, acting as a talent matchmaker. Rachel Scott collaborates with craftspeople in her native Jamaica to make crocheted ornamentation for Diotima outfits. Patience Torlowei transferred her eponymous business from Belgium to Nigeria to bring both expertise and technology back to Africa.
