Three fashion industry collaborations in 2023, boosting sustainable initiatives

Renfro Brands has chosen TrusTrace as a partner to assist with its traceability efforts. Renfro has made strides in its environmental objectives. Its packaging components are recyclable or reused in 30% of cases, with the objective of achieving 100% by 2030. Renfro also plans to employ sustainable yarns and materials in all of its products by 2030.

J.Crew and ThredUp are collaborating to establish a 360-resale service. Customers may now purchase and resell lightly worn J.Crew women’s and children’s clothing online at Jcrew.thredup.com and get J.Crew shopping credit for goods sold. J.Crew Vintage is a curated collection of some of the company’s greatest womenswear pieces that will be offered in its Fifth Avenue location. Rack Room Shoes and recycling partner Sneaker Impact have also announced a new programme. Customers may donate gently worn shoes at any Rack Room location by dropping them in a collection box. Donations will be gathered and repurposed to supply footwear to impoverished nations.
