Asos and research agency Opinium recently conducted a survey to determine the fashion trends that are likely to be popular among young adults in 2023. It observed that five main trends are set to be the most popular fashion purchases among people in their twenties. These trends include film-inspired sheer and ethereal fabrics, fuchsia pink, 1990s-inspired grunge, ballet attire, and Y2K-inspired denim.

The film-inspired fabrics trend is expected to be popular due to some recent releases like Avatar. Fuchsia pink is a bold monochrome statement that is getting popular after the recent Valentino’s winter catwalk show in 2022. The 1990s-inspired grunge trend is set to make a comeback with its edgy yet versatile style. Ballet attire is also expected to become popular due to the demand for comfort and functionality. Lastly, Y2K-inspired denim will be popular for its timeless style that can easily be dressed up or down.
