Tom Ford, the eponymous luxury brand founded by Hollywood actor and director Tom Ford, has been in talks with Estée Lauder since at least March about a potential sale.

The deal would be the largest acquisition for Estée Lauder, which was created in the 1920s as a skin cream company with a range of products such as MAC, Clinique, and Aveda. The company is seeking to expand its stable of luxury fashion brands. Estée Lauder had previously acquired the Canadian beauty group Deciem in a similar bid in 2021.
